Linda's
Location
Linda’s is not only a great place to get a good home cooked meal. It also gives a visitor a chance to pay a quick visit to the center of life for the largest group of American Indians in the Eastern United States—the Lumbee. When I worked at UNC-Pembroke a few years ago, I always liked to go to Linda’s at lunchtime to catch up on local news. Linda Sheppard serves country cooking in a buffet line—and there will always be a short wait. Everybody seems to know everybody else. The other guests at Linda’s won’t interrupt your meal, but many will be glad to answer questions about Pembroke or local Indian life.
Hrs: Mon.-Sat., 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
