Fuller’s Old-Fashion Bar-B-Que
Location
Fuller’s Old-Fashion Bar-B-Que Lumberton About 20 years ago, Fuller Locklear, a Lumbee Indian, and his wife Delora, opened a small restaurant near their home, serving fried chicken and seafood, southern vegetables, and barbecue. It grew gradually at first, but with a new addition, the facility can now seat more than 300 people. Locklear built a reputation for his collards, which he grew himself. But he would not serve them unless they were fresh and in season. Fuller and Delora have passed away, but their family is continuing their traditions. So, if you want to eat collards, remember to come in the fall or winter.
